Dear Joe
You are already a practical philosopher, and bid again to be, ere long, a poet. I now send you something on which you may exercise the power of your mind. To most persons the above will only appear to be the representation of a mere church ; consult your father and he will tell you it is a view of  "that church". When he was in Birmingham "that church" puzzled him no little ; yet to know all his thoughts and feelings respecting it , and solve the mystery that rests upon it and you will be a much wiser man than
                                                                                                                                                                    Your friend John Fowler.

If you look near the centre of this view, a little to the right hand, you will observe a *. Just under that place is an opening which leads to "The Coffee-House". I have tried to find a print of "The Coffee-House" itself but have been unsuccessful. I should think no one dare attempt even to sketch it. Your father can tell you something about this that nobody else knows.
