Northampton Band of Hope Union Cloth Banner c.1910
A most unusual painted cloth banner for the Northampton Area Band of Hope Union, " Northampton Area - B.O.H. Ideal Programme Competition Challenge Banner - Band of Hope Union". The red background is decorated with yellow edging and with a laureated centre section. Large decorative tassels hang from the three points at the foot of the banner, as well as two more on multi-colourd cords at the sides. It is suspended on the original pine pole with one of the two end finials remaining at the right side.
Banner size approx. 890x1050mm., and overall size 1110x1200mm.
